I have a new sister and I don't have to wait for her to grow up. It's kinda cool, actually. I still haven't really talked to her, but I am okay with that. I didn't meet her before the ceremony and wasn't sure if I would like this person my brother had chosen to be his bride. But can you blame me? People go off to college and do strange things--like get engaged.
After the ceremony, something happened that made the whole situation okay with me. It was something quite simple and probably went unnoticed by the majority of the people in attendance. My brother had teared up a bit and some of those tears ran down his cheek. He had wiped his face with his hand, but he missed one. She noticed, quietly reached up and wiped it away. I saw her do that and thought,
"All right! I like her."
Now I officially have 2 sisters and 4 brothers. It's quite exciting! In a few days, we are going to go play together in one of my favorite places in Texas. Change can be good....if your sibling marries a good person. Congratulations to brother number 3 and sister-in-law number 1. You did good!
