There was one thing I forgot to mention in my last BR Fridays post. If you live in the State of Texas, regardless of what city you reside in, you can apply for and receive a library card for ANY public library as long as you have a Texas Driver's License or other ID card. This means, for example, if you live in Amarillo you can obtain a Houston Public Library card and access the Houston Area Digital Library catalog and check out digital material. I actually have 3 Houston area library cards and have circumvented the 5 item checkout limit. I like having limitless options.
I talked to one of my dedicated readers on the phone Wednesday morning. Melody gave me a list of a few books she thought I might enjoy reading and told me she is finally reading the "Anne of Green Gables" series!! YESSSSS!!!! I've only been trying to get her to read them since we met 10 years ago. We talked about "Anne of the Island" quite a bit and our mutual love of Davy. Maybe I should review these and the Emily books for those of you who haven't read them. My all-time favorite in that series is still "Rilla of Ingleside." I'll tell you why later.
Finishing up 4 books right now and should have actual book reviews posting over the next 10 days. Also trying to find a copy of "The Heist Society" for my book club meeting next Saturday. Life's been a little hectic and disordered over here lately. 6 job interviews in less than 10 days combined with my wacked out sleep schedule have thrown my brain. My days are a bit jumbled and I'm shocked today is Friday. Feels like Tuesday night to me even though it's Friday at 7:30 AM. I need to eat some fresh fruit and veggies with gluten free whole grains to get my brain back to normal.
Also, just FYI, I start a new full-time job the middle of April, which is totally exciting! In addition to that, as of this week I will also be working as a corporate babysitter which is a pretty nice gig. I will have a schedule again! I will have income again and can go back to school this summer! I will have health insurance and a 401k for the first time in my adult life!
Now I just need to clean my house and start exercising again so it doesn't look like a depressed person has been living my life for the past few months....yikes!
Happy Reading!!
What are you currently reading? Anything good?
