Unexpected Proposal

I received my first marriage proposal a few days ago. It was not the way I had pictured it in my head. I would also like to point out that I have not responded as of yet. I'm keeping my options open. "How did this happen?" you ask. We were in the front room of my house listening to music, talking, and reading blogs. I said something that can only be characterized as a classic E-ism and his sister, yes, HIS SISTER!, says to me, "You would be perfect for [brother's name]! That is something he would say!" I gave her an odd look, which inevitably led us to Facebook so I could see what this brother looks like. Not bad, but not in the country either. I proceed to ignore her.

We then end up on said brother's shared blog and I like what I am reading--from an anthropological frame of reference. The night progresses and out of the blue, as his sister is bouncing on my giant green exercise ball, she says, "E, will you marry [my brother]? You would be perfect together. Please say yes!" I do find that this proposal is slightly pre-mature due to the fact that a) he is out of the country, b) had no clue at this point that his sister was proposing on his behalf to a girl he has never met, and c) a & b combined. Since then we have exchanged hellos via comments made on a picture on said sister's Facebook account.

What a fascinating and interesting life I lead! Especially since I am now somewhat anonymously stalking the aforementioned blog to see what new and interesting stuff is going on 'out of the country.' He writes rather well about interesting things.
