Stumbling Along

Dear: LIFE,

I should like one or two things from you in the next few months. They are not big, major, so-called life-changing things. Just small, tiny, things that are only important to me.

1. I would like to be able to walk down my personal pathway and have lavender and tulips gently blowing in the nice breeze so that I may enjoy their beauty. Plus, they smell nice and are my favorite. A few old oak trees to sit under occasionnally so that I may rest and reflect on where I have been and where I am going would also be appreciated.

These are so much nicer than the crap that seems to fall on my head from the vultures that circle in the air. If I could see these vultures, I could remember to carry an umbrella so that the crap would fall on the umbrella and not my hair, face, arms, back, front, etc. Poor, sad little vultures. I feel compassion for you because no matter how much you poop on me I am NOT going to lay down and die so that you may eat my putrefying corpse. I am sure I would taste delicious and thus, also feel sad that you are missing out on, what might prove to be, the best meal of your lives.

2. I should like for other people to choose to be happy and content in this life. When people choose to be happy it makes my life so much easier to navigate.

2a. I should like an intricately detailed map so that as I am navigating this life, alone, I will know where, and when, not to go somewhere.

Thank you for your continued support of my endeavours. By that I mean, thank you for all the involuntary stuff you do, such as breathing in and out, thinking wonderful thoughts, and keeping a steady heart rhythm.

Love,
  ME
