Early this morning, as many of you know, there was a massive earthquake off the coast of Japan. It triggered tsunamis which traveled outward all the way to the Western coast of the United States. But the most destruction seems to have occurred outside of Sendai. The Atlantic Magazine has posted pictures and news updates here.
If you feel the need to help others in anyway or to volunteer, contact the International Red Cross. They have also posted information about the situation here.
Because we all have to live together in this world, something that happens to cause major pain to others eventually affects everyone. Choose to be optimistic and supportive when you see people who could be your friends going through hard times.
