"When you're lovers in a dangerous time, sometimes you're made to feel as if your love's a crime. Nothing worth having comes without some kind of fight. Gotta kick at the darkness 'til it bleeds daylight." ~Bruce Cockburn

Musical Memories
Friday, 29 April, I attended the Moody Blues concert in Houston, TX. It was so relaxed and low-key. But I sang loudly and was on my feet with the rest of the crowd during my favorite songs. Can I just say you haven't lived until you have heard Justin Hayward singing--in that heartbreaking cry that we all identify with--the lyrics "'Cause I love you. Yes, I love you! Oh, how I love you!" It hits something visceral and unifies people no matter their color, race, or creed. They sang "I Know You're Out There Somewhere"--wonderful song of hope and belief that somewhere, someday you can be someone's someone. Ahhhh! Certain music brings out the girly in me. But what can I say? My dad called me his Wild Hippie Child and it's his fault I love a band who played at Woodstock. Thank you, Daddy, for introducing me to modern music.
