These weekly posts will follow the LDS Gospel Principles manual, explaining the basic beliefs of the Mormon faith, and the new curriculum introduced for Mormon teenagers, Come, Follow Me, which also seems to teach our basic beliefs. I haven't read the manual yet but from what I've skimmed it looks fabulous! There are even vidoes that go along with it.
The readings for today are basic introductions to the courses. I'm not going to go into that but you're welcome to read them for yourself. If you have any questions or anything you want to add to the discussion, PLEASE!! make a comment! I'll answer to the best of my ability before the next Triple S post. (Not that I'm begging for human interaction or anything.)

- How do you handle not having a routine?
- How do you prepare for participating in Sunday School classes?
Not having a routine: I volunteer for stuff. Community Center, Library, Church/RS and I plan out my week. Just writing something on the calendar - even if it is someone elses birthday or a lunch date -I have such a better outlook and something to look forward to/think about.
ReplyDeletePrepare for SS: I do my best to bring me scriptures and participate - but often my baby interferes.
I just saw a thing on pinterest I'm going to try since I don't have a calendar. I put post-its on the side of me TV and every time I complete my daily goals, I put the post it on a sheet of paper that's titled "You Made a MESS!!" Going to see if this helps.
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I also decided to have nightly scripture study together via Skype. This helps both of us.
As soon as I have a paycheck and can afford to pay for gas again, I will definitely be volunteering at the MFAH. They asked me to be a docent last year and I couldn't give them a 2 year commitment; this year I can and want to be asked to docent again.
